Sanya Property Goes Snap and Crackle, but the Pop Comes Later, Perhaps

In his latest Real Estate Review, Mario over at Sanya Expat takes the view that the Sanya property market could well be a bubble, but a bubble with room to grow.

His report is a handy overview of the market and the pricing in the various parts of town, and a rehearsal of the argument that surging demand for a place in the sun could keep local property prices rising for a good while to come.

But what’s with all of the frantic building, especially on second-tier sites set well back from the beach? Is it waving or drowning?…

Ultimate Pyjama Accessories #43: The Segway

Aw c’mon, mobile phones, man bags, cigars, cocktails with curly straws and umbrellas in the top… they’re all just like so NOT NOW, like so way back last week or something, LOL, ROFL, :) , etc.

In the Sanya beach style happenin’, the cool points are all with the Segway now, that sleek combination of übermodern silent mobility, gravity defiance and spinning gyros. read on…

He floored the accelerator on our golf cart, delivering us to the site with just enough time for some ooohs and aaahs and the taking of photographs… (more)

Sanya – Life’s a Beach, but Which One?

Ah, the life! Sun, sea, sand, waves gently toppling over, a tube of SPF 30, a stiffening breeze, the warm, red glow on the back of your eyelids…. Here is a quickie guide to Sanya’s main beaches.[...]

Fun in Sanya – Don’t Follow the Flag

Much of Sanya’s beach activity is organised for tours shipped in by the coach-load. But we at Sanya Bounce like the feeling of freedom that comes with the wind in our hair, salt in our lungs, the slap of boat or board against wave, and those satisfying bursts of spray you get as a Waboba [...]

Seeing Stars at Sanya’s Hotels

Sanya has more than a hundred hotels. Together they have more stars than an Elvis impersonator’s jump suit. Here is a short introduction to some of those hotels.

(We have to say that this page is a work in progress, mainly because we’re not the type of people that get to stay in beautiful hotels very often. However, we have visited most of the main hotels in Sanya over the last few months, and here are some of the ones we like the look of…(more)
